Default Tinted windows

OK, has anyone had any trouble tinting the windows on your SRT-4 Those lines in the back are similar to something on my back window of my grand am (dont hate me) and tint just doesnt seem to like to stick to it. If you have um post some pictures please. Also im considering putting the strip on front window and just behind the mirror is those periforated bubbles that im not sure if tint is going to stick too.

If you're going to tint the windows in a SRT-4, you have to be aware of not only those lines, but of the rear window defroster as well. The windows come tinted lightly from the factory, and I've considered having a professional do mine. It's over $100, but there's nothing worse looking than a homegrown, shabby tint job...[:'(]

A good tint shop can tint the back window in one piece. But that will only be up to the dark sun lines at the top. They say that the tint will not stick. A way around that is get the Gala Window Tint - Back Window Kit ( strips of tint) and that tint is thin enough to stick to the window and the lines on the window. You can get this at your local auto store.

You can do this yourself, but if you mess up on the back window, it will take 100 times longer to remove the tint and not screw up the deforster lines. But it can be done.

I had mine tinted at 30 percent. It looks good compared to with out tint, and they one pieced the back window. I payed 190 for a guy to come to my house and put the tint on with a life time warranty against bubbles and fading. This guy was good, once got 4th at a tint competion.

Every tint job I've seen has the bubbles between the lines and/or dots.

All the tint jobs I've seen go over the entire window, lines, dots and all. All of the ones I've seen done have air pockets trapped between the glass and the tint in between the lines/dots. And this is done by professional shops even.[&:]

I found a place that says they have done SRTs and have a method to do those sun stripes they wants 170$ for the whole job with a strip on the fron windsheild. Not a bad deal i guess sine they back it with a life time warr, through them. But then i got to think 170$ for tint or BOV + intake for 270$ hmmmm. BOV and intake for me first i guess. Dont have to worry about how my car looks cause most will just see it as a blur anyways [sm=icon_rock.gif]

UV rays only travel at the speed of light, so they won't catch up with you anyway....
