finally
hey wuzz up guys i finally came up with the money to order the 2nd stage turbo upgrade (without turbo toys) i order it yesterday at the dealer ($950.00 total + $200 to install it) it should arrive in 2 to 3 weeks. i cant wait. i dont have a catback yet but im planning to get one (mopar probably) meanwhile what kind of performance can i expect from the kit itself. the only mod in my car right now its a greddy bov.
I bet you will wait more than 2 weeks. I've had mine ordered for 8 weeks now. My dealer called the company that makes them and they said parts are on backorder. They expect enough parts to come in 2 weeks to fill 70 orders but there's still 200 orders waiting to be started.
You can probably get a better price from www.modernperformance.com but the install with the toys will really cost you from a dealer. My dealer quoted me a price of $111.00 just to plug in my Stage 1 PCM. I did it myself in less than an hour. I've heard rumors of delays in getting Stage 2 due to parts shortages. Figure on the better part of a day to install the Stage 2 w/toys. With the dealer asking $111.00 for a one hour job, you do the math.....[sm=sigh.gif]
The dealerships around here charge $75 and hour labor charge. Imagine $75 an hour X a day or two........=[

Toys install is not a short process. Me, I took about 6 hours for everything except the sprayer, and that sucker took another two hours.
By myself, no help. I'm a pretty experienced mechanic, but I did take my time. Much better that way. If you want a good overview of the process, pick up the latest Sport Compact Car. The SRT-4 project car got the Toys. now it took them 4 hours plus 1 and a half for the sprayers.
But they had Ethan Bayer, SRT development engineer, the guy who built this kit, to do the wiring, and had three other experienced wrenchs there. Including Dale Seely, of One Lap fame and Scott, owner of MAXXFab exhuast.
If your dealer told you a firm time, they are most likely mistaken or misled. There's no telling how long. But in either case, it's worth the wait
