finally
Sure, I got 2 days off in a row now....gonna go to my dealer and get the 90 day oil change with Amsoil this time, to see if there is any difference compared to Mobil 1...
Anyway, look for a "5 Star Dealership"...these folks have a lower rate of complaints than the average dealership. Scope out the service area....is it neat, clean? Does the Service Tech seem interested in YOUR problem? Like I said before, call your local BBB and ask about what complaints (if any) they've had. Trust your "gut feel". If they seem like professionals to YOU, they probably are. (I always look to see how many of the mechanics drive DCX cars....get there early to watch them come in to work).

OK here's how it all works. The salesmen are simply trying to get the sales even if they have to lie or misinform you, like when the salesman said they haven't had a problem with Stage 2 yet. It's not a lie, but then again it's also not the truth either. The service manager is there to use any BS excuse to void or not honor the manufacturers warranty, they are there to save DCX/the dealership money whenever and where ever possible.
The only way any CAI could be the cause of a failure is if the filter came off and it sucked something into it or if it sucked up water.
These are the reasons I suggest that you get outside (non-DCX) opinions on any failures before taking it to the dealerships, because the service department will try their damnedest to screw you for the repair bill regardless of the actual cause. They have to be able to prove that the mods directly caused the failure and you have the right to get outside opinions. If anything goes wrong with mine, it's going in as is with all the mods on it and a copy of all the legal papers in hand.
I was told by the salesman that the Mopar mods were covered by the factory warranty, this is a lie. I was told by the service manager that any mods will void the factory warranty, this too is a lie. This was all from the same 5 star dealer I bought mine from. Know your legal rights (Mopar Street Essentials catalog, page 4 paragraph 3 is a great place to start) and be prepared to fight for them or know someone that can pull strings well.

(Knock on wood) If I ever have to take mine in, the mods are staying on and the receipts for the parts as well as any service work done will be in the glove compartment. I'll also be in my class "A" uniform with my Glock 9mm, ASP baton, and OC spray, ready to do battle!!! I may have a canine unit as "back up" just for the sound effects!![sm=smiley36.gif]
