Turbo XS RFL
these's bov's are good for about 6 months to a year, then they start to leak. not everyone has the leaking problem, but more do than don't. not really worth taking the risk imo. if you are leaking, add more washers.
I have it on my 1st gen eclipse and I have had it for 3 years and I haven't had a problem with it. It is crazy loud. I am at 22psi and it is fine for me. Also had one on my GTI and I had problems with it but I added some more washers to it and it was fine, had it for about 2 years on that car.I don't think it really matters what car it is on.
it does matter what car it's on. the reason that it fails to often on the srt is because of it's mounting location. it's mounted low and is exposed to road debris and the elements, which is what makes it fail. it's a perfectly fine bov on many other cars, just not this one.
where do I put the washers?I had never seen this bov before, till I took it out my friends car and put it on mine, didnt get a chance to explore.Oh almost forgot, does anyone know where I can get the little metal thing that looks like a horn, because this one didnt have one.
coldside pipe...goes from tb to intercooler...driver's side. Some people mount them on the hot pipe...passanger side under car, wouldnt recomend it.Once you lower the car its really hard to drive over bumps and stuff.I had an HKS there and it only lasted a weak before I smashed it.Oh well I guess I'll have to find another bov
Are you sure it is the RFL and not the typeH? But anywayyou just twist the BOV in the middle and it comes apart and there is a spring and some washers in the middle. If it doesn't have the horn looking piecethen it isn't the RFL.That part doesn't actually come off.
i never said it was an RFL.Its a Turbo XS Racing bov, its a by-pass one.I was asking about the RFL because I was thinking on getting it.But like psichick explained to me we dont need by-pass bovs, and the RFL blows to the atmosphere....never thought I would get such bad feedback on it, but oh well.I really like the greddy type S and RS, but very expensive.I'll figure something out I guess
