Wish I had the HEMI
Hey people! This is my first post on this forum. I am a new member. I bought my 2002 Ram 1500 Quad Cab almost 1 year ago. I couldn't afford a brand new one so I had to compromise and get a Ram without the HEMI. Makes me cry having to admit that. Hopefully in the future I can do myself justice and spring for a HEMI version of this absolutely gorgeous truck.
My fascination with this vehicle started when I saw the regular cab model in a local mall, before it even came out. I told my girlfriend that day, "someday, we'll be rolling in this!" A few years later, now with a 4 year old son, I have gotten what I craved. I'm sure quite a few of you can relate.
I don't really have any questions to post, but would love to hear your experiences with these trucks. One extra note on the topic of the HEMI, I named my German Shepherd "Hemi" just to satisfy the urge. LOL. Believe me, she certainly acts like one too!
Thanks,
Magnum V8

They're a little cramped in the quadcab model but I'm sure the Hd model wouln't. Glad you could join us. Pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable!-Matt-
Maybe you need to look at the Hemi another way. The Hemi may be the thing right now, but look for performance parts for it. DC has made it so whatever mods you put on it have little or no effect on the overall performance. Now if you don't ever plan on modifying the engine, you're probably going to like the engine. I do like mine.

I don't have a hemi, I test drove a hemi felt no different than my 4.7, now that i have my k & n 77 series installed, what a great sound it adds to the truck especially when I step on it, mpg went up from 321 miles per tank, 12.3 mpg to 400 miles per tank, 15.38 that's 3 more miles per gallon increase.
