i dont know much about the 3500 but i know in any route the manual is always better... if your pulling, or towing, a manual would be harder to break, and alot easier to keep cool...

Welcome to the site. You may want to ask this in the third generation Ram section or the Cummins deisel section,

I have a 05 dodge magnum rt. I'm looking for anyone that has any experience with the emergency liftgate release latch. How does it work, where is it? The battery is dead and latch , of course won't engage.

b1gredd, There is an emergency release in the back panel. Your manual should have a picture of it or you can go to www.dodge.com and in the upper right is an icon 'for owners'. Click on that and in the middle of trhe page is an icon 'service/ parts manual'. click on that and you enter your year and make and download a PDF of the manual. Ypu could also ask the guys in the Magnum section,
