Bought an '08 Ram 1500 4x4 with crewcab SB with the 4.7L V8. I wanted a Hemi but couldn't locate one. I waited to long. I was surprised by the power in the 4.7. I think I read it pushed 320 HP from that 287 cubic in engine. I changed the oil today after 1100 miles. I couldn't believe how dirty it was. I discovered there were 2 different filters used on the engine. A metric and a regular thread. I opted for the Mobil 1. I put a Truxedo Truxport Roll-up tonneau cover on. It fits really well. Best cover you can buy for less than $300.

I got the 4.7 myself, its seems to have plenty power for me, especially after driving a V6 F150 for the last 12 years! Kinda do wish I got the Hemi for bragging rights though! I read the 4.7 put out 310HP, where did you see 320HP? And are you saying the engine uses 2 separate oil filters?

Maybe it's 310HP I read, but i do know it was more than 300 which surprised me.
Yes the xref at the auto parts store calls for 2 different filters. For example a Mobile 1 M1-204 or a M1-210. The only difference is the threaded hole. The 204 is smaller. The filters are the same size.
My factory filter was 04884899AB and I replaced it with the M1-210.

Default Stratus R/T 2002 Instrument bulb size...& looking to swap engines

Hello, (me saying hi)
From South Dakota

I have a Dodge Stratus R/T 2002 and I am looking to change the instrument light to a blue one or some other color than the stock. I am having a hard time finding the bulb size out.

The other question I am looking at doing an engine swap. I want to possible do a twin turbo set up but I am not sure what size and the all the other parts needed to do this.

Default Newbie from Oregon

Hi, my name is Tim and I live in Oregon. I have a 1977 custom 150 SWB that I am in the process of getting on the road for my 17 yr. old daughter. I think I am beginning to like the truck more than she does.

Hey Guys,

First thing you should all know about me is that I'm a Ford guy. And thats what I kept telling the salesman at the dealership right up until I drove out the door in my Dodge.....go figure....

I'm Rob, I have a 2002 QC 1500 with a 5.9l.
Truck has 131000km on it, and already has its second transmission and will be getting a new steering rack shortly as it leaks.

I put Ramm Cam levelling kit in, and when I bought the truck it had a cat back dual Flowmaster setup. Also put on some 305/65/17 BFG KM2's (Thats about a 32.5x12.17)

So anyway this is me, and I'll be around.

Oh yeah, I'm not new to forums, but I am new to this one.
