how do i start a new thread

 

ok so i have a 2000 dodge dakota and i noticed today that when i started my truck it had a hard time turning over and when it finally did it wouldnt idle unless my foot was on the gas. its not the alternator cuz i took the port off the battery when it wss running and it continued to run. but it would run fine once i drove down the road and would idle ok to. any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanx! oh ya and its not the battery cuz its somewhat new.

Hi all. Just joined the other day. I am originally from the N.W.T., Canada but now live in Edmonton, AB. When I figure out how to upload pics of my truck, I'll do that. I've got a 2003 4X4 Q/C S/B Laramie. Bought it in August of '04 and like it very much. I've done some mods that will be in 'my garage' when I figure out how.

I just found this site when looking for some info on my truck's radio.
Found out from another thread that the factory Infinity amps are attached to the speakers. I took one out of the door and was like wtf??
Just took it off and used it with my aftermarket replacement and it works

Anyway, I decided to stick around. I love Dodge trucks and figured this forum would probably be very useful as I mod my truck, make repairs, and encounter some Dodge goofs(like the Infinity speaker mounted amps...)

I drive a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Club Cab Laramie SLT 4x4. It has a 5.2L (318) Magnum, and four speed auto trans. Optional factory equipment includes: heavy duty tranny with aux cooler, A/C, Infinity stereo system (first thing I changed ), and various others.
Aftermarket: front push guard, full length step boards, tool box, bed rails, and CB radio.

Bottom Line: I'm in love with it
More mods I want to do, mostly engine related, but I'm short on funding.
