Wink New to Neons LOl

Hello forum, I would just like to introduce myself. I have been a mechanic and auto buff for 30 years and I just purchased a 2 liter SOHC 2001 Plymouth neon that the PO wanted make a race car.

I am a V-8 kinda guy and with this car, I have to learn all over again. The guy put 5 grand into the motor including 8.5 pistons, titanium rods, aftermarket cam, springs and valves and he puchased a huge turbo for it that he over revved and blew.

Bottom line, I am running it without the turbo, just a header, cat and 2.5 exhaust. I am looking to put a turbo back on it, he gave me the manifold and two turbos he blew, but I think his problem is they are too big and he over revved them.

Oh well, I am hear to learn and see how the Dodge 4 cylinder group does it.

Thanks,

Jeff
