New member with a decision to make
1st off hey everybody new member here. Names chris.
I have a decision to make coming around the end of next month.
Im gonna be searching for something 4wd with seating for 6. Ive been looking at a few different vehicles. Dodges and sorry guys also non-dodge. Im stuck. Im looking for suggestions. On what you guys think.
Heres my list
03+ ram 1500, 2500 4dr gas
Any gen durango
Now the part that will tick you guys off. Ive also been considering
00+ gmc/chevy 1500,2500 4dr gas
00+ tahoe, yukon, escalade
03+ exploders (yes i did say exploders)
00+ f series mainly 150 ext cab 4dr or club
My family is growing again and i figure the work i do a truck will pay itself off also a suv with a trailer same deal.
So whats your opinions and why.
Also whats some cons and pros about your opinion.
Id pick a dodge anyday so dont get me wrong, but if a deal i cant pass up comes on the others then i might just take it.
Thanks for reading hope to here from you guys soon

These are all good choices, but your answer will be in what you want the most. Overall ride & comfort would have to go with the GM family, good ride and a cheap price would take you to the Ford, and a good reliable work truck reasonably priced would lead you to Dodge. I have a Silverado for a company truck, just got rid of a 05 F150 Lariat to get a 07 Ram 2500 with a Cummins to pull the fifth wheel. If you are worried about cost of fuel, get the Cummins. Ford, GM and Dodge milage with the gas engines in the 2500 series trucks, to put it point blank, really sucks. I too was in a delema regarding a newer truck to pull the fifth wheel, and I was down to a Duramax or the Cummins. I like the GM but was still unsure of the Duramax engine, so I did go witht the tried and true Cummins. My SLT Ram is not as fancy as the Lariat or the Silverado SLT, but the overall reliability and fuel mileage of the Dodge was a good choice. If you are going to pull a trailer, you should seriously look at a 3/4 ton or 1 ton diesel. Just stay away from any ford diesel
Good luck
Good luck
I have recently been thinking about diesel. But also gas isnt a concern. The vehicle will mainly be driven on the weekends. Not too much hauling maybe some scrap here and there. My familys growing and im not a minivan person lol. Id rather have a truck. You never know when you might need one. Ive found a few including tundra double cabs and titans

I just came from an '02 Explorer and it had been very dependable throughout the entire time I had it. It wasn't until it got to around the 150K mark that I began having small issues that needed to be taken care of. It just got to a point that I was ready for a new vehicle and went with the new Durango.

A quick question
I have no certain model in mind but how many miles would you guys consider too many on a diesel. I know you have this many people that like low mileage. While this many say a certain amount ill say 150k-160k is nothing on a diesel.

Ya i like the powerstroke but i believe ill end up with a cummins or duramax.
Only thing that sets me off on the 4dr dodge is how the back seat turns in at the middle. Ill have 3 car seats to put back there. And what ever i get i perfer leather for the fact its easier to wipe offstuff from my messy *** kids. Lol
Im gonna set all 3 seats beside each other and messure and then messure the vehicle im looking at so i can get the best fit.y second choice is something 3rd row but i figure its easier in a 4dr truck than crawling to tge back seat.
Its gonna be a family vehicle for the weekends mainly i have a old beat up s10 i use for my job. I just wanna find something nice that ill wanna keep atleast during the loan. Since its hard to get what you owe on trade in unless i get a hell of a deal to begin with.
