Question Newb with a question

Hi guys! Geo1963 here! I have a 2004 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. Having a problem starting, coming up with a p0700 code. any takers?

Welcome to DF
P0700 code is a transmission code thats in the PCM, I would need to know the other stored or active codes in the TCM section of the PCM. You have either the 45RFE or 545RFE transmission.

How can I tell witch granny I have, and how can I read the other codes, is there a plug in directly to the transmission?

They are both the same transmission box, one is a 4 speed and the other is a 5speed.

I don't think he's asking which tranny you have, You have a 45, but depending on if the truck has had the service update it could've been flashed to use the 2nd OD, and making it a 5-45. He wants to know the codes from the TCM that "talk" to the PCM. What are the other stored codes on your OBD2 scanner? Those codes will narrow down what's wrong.
