Default New guy from PA

Hi all,
Just thought I'd stop in and say hi. New to the forums, but not to Dodge or Chrysler products. I'll try to post some pics of my cars later. Also, I'm on the Allpar forums under the same screen name, but I haven't been active there in a while. Thanks for reading!

Chris

Will do, thanks!

What brought me here was trying to figure out a P1495 code I'm getting on a Durango I'm working on, and I've seen there's plenty of knowledgeable people here.

Default p1495

p1495 is a leak detection pump solenold circuit. when monitored is wwhen the ignition and battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts. the set condition is the state of the solenoid circuit does not match the CM's desired state.

the possible causes:
  1. vehicle history and service bulletin investigation
  2. Generator source curcuit open
  3. leak detection pump solenoid control open
  4. LPD solenoid control circuit shorted to ground
  5. leak detection pump
  6. wiring harness intermitted
  7. powertrain contol module

Thanks for the info! I'm hoping its something simple... I replaced the drivers side fender a few weeks ago, and the code has come up ever since, so I'm thinking I may have either jammed it somehow or broke a vacuum line. I'll be investigating it more this weekend.

Thanks man, I hope so too. I have the truck listed for sale, and its tought to sell a vehicle with the check engine light on. Do you happen to know if there's a TSB for this code? I haven't seen one, but my books only go to 2000.

if the check engine light is on then thats tellin you that theres a problem some were in you trucks computer and since theres a problem it throws a check enigine light on . i would find a modus and check to see what the code is pulling up because if you dont find what the code is and sell that truck. you will probably not sell it just for the fact people want a running vehicle with no check engine light on. its just a modus away to see what the code is the code that you gave me and i have the instructions to fix it.

Yeah, I've scanned it, the code is P1495. My scanner won't really show anything else, just the code. I'll be using your list to diagnose it. I'm leaning towards it being a simple issue, since the light wasn't on before I replaced the fender, and I know I moved the LDP and its wiring around while pulling the old fender and installing the new one. I'll check it out this weekend and see whats up.

if its a check engine light from a previous problem all you have to is clear it by erasing the codes
