Sadly, I must put my Durango in garage, I think forever. Our government is totally crazy. They rise the taxes for vehicles over 4000 ccm for 300% in one step! For better understanding: Normal monthly pay (example: qualified electrician) - 1100$ , minimal year taxes for vehicle over 4000 ccm - 2300$. It's impossible even to sell that vehicle, because nobody want to buy that ultrahigh taxed thing

Of course I researched this before purchase, but after one year, government rise taxes about 300% for that type of vehicles TOTALLY UNEXPECTEDLY
I'm not talking about taxes, you must pay when you buy a vehicle, I talk about taxes you must pay every year if you want to drive vehicle legally on roads - and now - this costs me 2300$ per year, last year costs me about 750$ per year. Is there in USA even possible, that government rise any taxe for anything for 300% in one step? Btw, how many $ per year cost in USA if you want to drive Durango 5.9 legally on roads? And, for example, how many $ is monthly pay for qualified electrician?

I drive a full size ram, and it costs me about 100 bucks for plates. Which I think is what you are asking? Gotta have insurance of course... which is another 1200 or so per year. (but, that is also covering two vehicles, and my wife seems to like to run in to things....)

Yes, this is what i asked, more or less. In our country we MUST pay every year for plates, for use any type of road except highway (highway must be payed extra 130$ per year if you want use it) and for main insurance to third person (if i crashed a vehicle into other vehicle (my guilty), insurance pays damage to other vehicle or people injured, not for my vehicle, insurance, that cover damage to my vehicle must be payed extra). So, all in one: If i want to drive durango 5.9 only on normal roads without highway and without any extra paying for insurance, cost me 2300$ per year. Without 2300$, durango must stay in garage without plates. And for comparation to USA: I am qualified electrician and my monthly pay is 1100$ (or 13200$ per year) and, for finish - 1l of gasoline cost about 2$ (9$ for gallon). Oh, and yes, almost forget - I live in ****ty slovenia, country between Italia and Austria.

Yes, horror. I think, we are slaves... Smaller family car, 1600 ccm, 5 seats, costs about 700$ per year - again - no highway, no extra insurance, only minimum costs to put car on road. We all dream to move out from our country. If you try something else there (V8), you are in danger to die for reason "starvage"
Anyway, have a nice day.
