Welcome to DF

Are you asking about the upper joints or lower ball joint? If you want to add grease fitting, it wouldn't hurt to try. Because you end replacing the ball joint anyway.

Default balljoints - dang beancounters.

THANK YOU !! so much for a quick response.. it sounds as though the lowers are producing the loudest complaint, most on driver side, and it is annoying as all get out. I will go ahead and install the grease fittings, since the joints themselves don't seem worn.
The fact that there are no fittings on OEM is the epitome of cheaping out for my 2 cents worth !!

Eveything is about cost. And some cars or trucks, there just isn't a enough room between the ball joints and the body of the vehicle.

Fortunately that isn''t the case with this truck.......there is a comparative country mile of access room to drill both balljoints only taking the tire off.

Somewhere down the line I need to jump back in about the errant airbag idiot-light in these trucks.......but that is a headache for another day.

Thanx again Master Tech !
