I thought about putting an electric super charger in my 2003 Dodge Neon SE.
However i don't know the downside to doing that. i have been told it will greatly
decrease my gas mileage but i dont know how much it will effect it.
its nothing expensive or super fancy. just a $200 supercharger kit for a neon.
Would it be easier then putting a turbo in since its my everyday car?

 

Don't waste your money on it. It is simply a gimmick. It doesn't do much for you for the cost/trouble involved. Spend the money on a cam instead.

 

Try this first, bolt a hair dryer to the intake and see if it makes any difference. Same concept. Same as the chip promising 50 mpg and 200 extra horsepower. Scams.
