Default New to here

Just saying hi and a bit about why I have joined. I came looking because I am soon to be the new owner of a 2002 Ram 3500 4x4 SRW Laramie and I know little about Dodges(I am a slowly converting F**D guy). I am a diesel mechanic and I like the Cummins engine so I have had to gravitate to the Dodge truck. Anyway, here I am and I hope I can use any knowledge you guys may have to share.

2002 SRW?

Thought the 02's were still the second gen body style, which didn't come in a SRW configuration? Interesting.

Pics Please.

Welcome to DF! I *think* you belong in the second gen ram section... pics will tell for sure.

It looks like gen II, I will post pics as soon as I get the truck(probably Saturday). Its a 2002 Ram 3500 srw 4x4 long box "extended cab" Laramie with a six speed manual behind the Cummins. I can't find a better combination for my application. From what I have read, the '02 3500's were still in the gen II body, I'm not sure if there is anything else that makes it gen 2 or gen 3...

Body style between gen 2 and gen 3 are completely different imo.
