Thanx for bringing into your forum. Bought an 02 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Sport. Love the pick up, even though it's under powered. Also found out this week it only takes two feet of snow to get her stuck ( that heavy beast ).

5.9 gas, still fumbling around this site, haven't found that area of the forum. My main issues, converter slipping going into o/d, progressively getting worse is the valve body. Auto Trans are my weakest machanincal link. Run it thru two shops, diagnostic come back good, but with light acceleration, Trans bouncing first to second back to first to second and so on.
I'll get to looking into that part of the forum, thanx for the direction. Hope to return the favor sometime

 

There are a fair few options for the 46RE replacement. PATC makes the mega viper, 2500 bucks.... (and that's just for the trans.) but, you will never need to worry about it again. Or, if you are mechanically inclined, could pick up a core from the junkyard, rebuild it yourself, as several others have done, and they had never been inside an auto trans before.
