Default New to the site, not new to dodge

Hi folks!

I'm Andrew, you may see me on about a million other forums under the same or similar screen name. (Jeep forum, Firearms Talk, Glock Forum, Rimfire Central, Ruger Forum, M14 Forum, IFSJA, FSJN, Mossberg MVP, the list goes on and on). I live in Las Vegas

I've been a dodge/chrysler/mopar type guy for a while.

My first vehicle was a 97 Dakota with the 3.9, 5 speed, 2wd (that was fun driving in New Hampshire winters). When Pa bought his '04 I bought the 97 from him for the trade-in offer. Good ole truck. Traded it in a year ot two later when Ma bought a 2005 magnum, and bought her 2000 Maxmia.

Sold maxima, drove and wheeled a wrangler for a while. 4cyl, lifted, no AC, not so fun in las vegas.

Next, back to dodge, I purchased Ma's 2005 Magnum RT from her back around 2008 or 2009 I think? Rocked the wagon for a while. It was stock, just some cosmetic stuff and flowmasters.

Eventually took on a work truck, didnt have enough room to keep everything, parted ways with the wagon. Miss that one for sure.

My fiance drives a 2011 Challenger (plate reads" KWALSKI"). (she also has a 69 nova...boo bowtie!)

I currently am rockin' a different wagon of sorts. This 73 wagoneer is the only vehicle I currently own.

Okay. So what brings me here today is that I'm likely soon to be moving to Reno. I'll be losing my work truck, and will be inheriting Pa's 2004 Dakota. I think it's a sport? 4.7l, 4x4, 5 Speed, power nothing, 100% stock except the lil sun visor. maybe 130,000 on the clock. I'll be flying out to NH next month and then driving it 2800 miles to Reno.

Here she is, in all her glory!

Ha! Don't worry. It was down at my brothers shop getting 10 years worth of NH winters taken care of. There were some bubbles in the paint that needed repaired....and that opened pandoras box. Bunches of new metal welded in, complete new fender, every panel except the hood and roof have been repaired and repainted. Looks brand new now.

Also new leaf springs last year, new oil pan, all new brake lines, Im sure the ball joints are newish (hell, its got 130,000 miles on it so it must be on it's 5th set), new exhaust manifolds, new brakes, so on and so forth. Everything that the winters rotted out is replaced. Frame is good and solid. Should be a good truck for a few years. Clutch is original though...so, that may be sooner than later.

So, here I am! Glad to be here, I've seen there is a ton of info on this site, and will gladly peruse it.

Haha, dont worry, it looks brand new now. I just dont have an updated pic. After all the new metal and body work it got painted up nice and purdy.

I should be picking it up in and driving it out west in 4 weeks.

Not sure the snow really adds that much appeal.
