Let's open this with "Oops!". I just registered. Was looking for info re rebuilding the 44RE trans in my 2K Durango and found this forum. So I registered...Going good, right up until it said "Hi DsutyMojave"...
It's supposed to be "DustyMojave". Of all the things that one may edit in this forum, your user name is apparently NOT one of them. MAYBE an admin can help with that, but I see no means to contact them other than posting in places like this.
I live in the Mojave Desert. The wind blows often. I'm a long time desert offroad racer in cars and motorcycles. Hence the name. I started using it years ago when most all forums required a Yahoo user ID to register. That was OK, at the time, my ISP was hooked with Yahoo so I had a name-based user name already. I used that to join a bunch of forums for various subjects and all was fine. Then some fool at Yay! Who? mistakenly kicked my account to the roadside ditch. Took me a while to find out what happened. So I started over with a new account and user ID and rejoined most of the forums. Then a couple of years later, they did it to me again!!!! So 3rd time around, I made up a new non-name based ID and sorta ditched Yay! Who?. Set up other email accounts too because both times they closed my email accounts too.
Sooo. I have a 2K Durango SLT 2WD, 5.2L. 260K miles. and it's getting a little long on years. But I LIKE it. And as my wife and I are retired, we really can't afford a new or even newer one.
With Via Chrome 20s and low profiles now replaced with stock wheels and 31x10.50-15s
This is the 1st Mopar I've owned, though I've always liked the brand. Back in the 60s, my older brother had a 64 Plymouth Max Wedge drag car that got crashed and totalled in '68 at Lions Drag Strip.
