Default 2nd gen front diff

I have a 2002 Dodge 2500 with the 360 4x4. I have a Dana 60 3.54 gear ratio for the front diff. A few years ago, I had a well known gear guy in my area replace the pinion bearing because it had went bad. He ended up having to replace the pinion yoke also. Well the problem is that for some reason he WELDED THE DAMN PINION NUT ON!!!!!! Blew my
mind when I found out. Anyways, the yoke he put on is just flat where the ujoint caps go. So the only thing to hold them still is the ujoint straps and that痴 it so I知 having a hard time finding the right ujoint to fit in the yoke. I致e givin up and decided to just go in and replace the pinion and get the correct yoke. Now, what I知 wondering is can I get by with just replacing the pinion or will I have to replace the ring gear also?? If so, what brand gears? Do I need to get a whole rebuild kit, bearings and all? I知 trying to sell my truck so I知 not trying to dump a lot of money into this problem. I just want it fixed right so I知 not screwing somebody over when I sell it.

Replace them as a set. Yukon, or USA gears are good. You can probably get away with pretty much any manufacturer, it's the gear setup that makes or breaks 'em.
