Greetings - from a NYG Owner
I just registered on the forum a few days ago. and have enjoyed reading all of the different post.
I am the owner of a 95 Nitro Yellow Green Dodge DOHC 5 speed Neon that I race in SCCA events. This past weekend I raced at Memphis MotorSpeed Park, this coming weekend I am racing at Road Atlanta.
I was looking for info on my Neon to get it going - I had wrecked it 2 months ago and have not quite got all of the issue worked out of the car. I have found a lot of very useful information and able to ask questions and get very good answer back!
Look forward to chatting more with Everyone!
Thanks
Greg

Kuhmo is not bad - but you have to place in the top 5 of your Class to get any Kuhmo bucks to apply towards your tires.
They Kuhmo Guys are Great - in fact I will be racing against one of the engineer this weekend at Road Atlanta
Hi Roy - Welcome aboard!
More updates after this weekends race!

Racing is not that hard of a sport to get into.
For me - it was easy since I picked ShowRoom Stock Class - all I had to do is add my Safety equipment - and go to a weekend school to get my Novice Permit to Race.
I think the car has about $1k worth of safety gear, I have another $500 in personal safety gear, and school was about $200. Then it is off to the races!
check out www.scca.org - under the club link and it will give you all the details or you can ask me any question - if I can not answer it - I know plenty of people that can!

I do enjoy the site - This evening I will try to put a Gallery Since I am not racing today. Engine in my NYG Neon is down for the count! I bent a valve stem and broke two Rocker Arms on my DOHC engine yesterday during qualify.
Any one have a spare 1996 DOHC Neon engine for sale??
I need to rebuild mine - but I guess I need to invest in a spare engine!
Does any know if they make a crate engine for 1996 DOHC?? I am calling my dealership in the morning!
Atleast I have plenty of time before my next race July 3rd & 4th in Savannah, GA!
Thanks everyone for welcoming me to DF - I am really enjoying reading all the different post and the feed back you can get!
Thanks!
