Hey gang..............................Just wanted to into myself to the group. I've gotta admit that I've been a pretty dedicated Ford man my whole life with the exception of one Chevy, a '66 heavy half, (wish I still had it [&o]).
Anyway...........I had always liked the looks of the newer Dodge trucks but never knew much about 'em so I kind of avoided them. 2 years ago I decided to check 'em out and leases my very first Dodge, a '05 1500 Ram Quad Cab. Holy Crap, I was in love after the first test drive! I was really in love after the 2 1/2 hour trip back home again!! Then to top it off, I had an issue with the rear window not working so they gave me an '05 F150 to drive while they were fixing it. I couldn't believe it. I still liked the Dodge much better than the Ford. Lots smoother ride, and better looks in my opinion.
So now with my lease almost up, I decided that I needed to look around for something of my own. I had gotten a really sweet lease deal, ($159 @ month), and now I was facing a pretty hefty buy-out price that I didn't think I could swing right now. So I wound up with my newest truck, an '01 Dodge Ram 1500 QC Sport. Yeah, I stepped down a few years, but with the cash I saved I've got money to buy some extras to start making it my own.
It's already got a Ram Air hood on it and I've got nerf bars and mud flaps ordered. There are so many things that I'd like to do, but one thing at a time right? I'm lovin' this one just as much as the '05!!! Just call me a very happy MOPAR convert!
