Yeah, I would have taken the top off the intake and welded it there.
it would save 3inches.
i'm looking for a cheap m62 now. hope to find one for next summer.
Fun in the sun. if you can see over it[sm=smiley36.gif]

I hate to say this but that website reeks of redneck mechanicus......pix of dead rotting cows, every vehicle looks like crap, junkyeard dawgs, etc. etc.
If the vehicle looks bad, but has an engine/supercharger sticking out its hood, i don't think i would complain. Expecially if it is a supercharger for a 3.0L in a neon that just happens to have the same engine as my shadow that i am looking for a supercharger for...
If you can follow that... [sm=smiley29.gif]

Don't bring this one up on neons.org. It's not very respected there. Neither is my 2.7 engine swap idea either. . .but heh! Some of us are crazy enough. . .
Note that he had a shop basically weld two automatic housings together to make his 3 speed bolt up (if you read between the lines). That's basically what I'm talking about doing if necessary to put my neon 5 speed to the 2.7 block. Not that hard really. For instance, my father just bought an aftermarket bell to be welded to a 915(I think) tranny--from Dodge vans with an overdrive--to go against his Hemi for the superbee project. '91-'92 van model transmission--overdrive without electronic control and the lockup converter automatically shuts off as soon as it kicks down out of fourth gear--good setup made possible by aftermarket parts and little cutting/welding skill.
