The GT500, which is essentially the next-generation SVT Cobra in everything but name, promises upward of 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque from its supercharged 5.4-liter V8 (a detuned version of the same engine riding midship in the Ford GT supercar). Yes, the rear suspension is a live-axle setup, but Ford engineers say we should drive it before we start complaining. GT500 is expected to go on sale by summer of 2006.

good job, but Charger SRT-8 VS Mustang GT 500, i think mustang, although i hate to say it

For looks, the charger can;t compare. Give me the shelby over the charger srt

 

Give me the Viper for $80,000 and 500 hp over the Mustang

 

I’d still take the Charger SRT-8. The Ford may have Power but the Dodge has Power and practicability.

 

just another piece of FORD GARBAGE...funny there is no price listed? they will sell a handful of these to poor little rich kids who will wrap them around trees (i hope) and wealthy old men who saw the real shelby cobra when they were young, and those guys wont beat them...they will ride them to car shows...and keep them shiney in the garage..but either way, its another POS FORD

 

Get rid of those VIPER stripes and the car will look half descent But still.....the mechanics of it are horrid (ex. Tranny) Ford sucks, the end.

Uh matt those "viper" stripes were used on Shelby mustangs back in the 60's. So if anyone has to give up the stripes it would be the viper.
