GM to offer employee discount to all customers
In our local paper today GM bigwigs decided to give employee discounts to all buyers to help the sales go up from their downward trend from 04 and on. THere is no actual report yet on their numbers however dealers all around have noticed a jump from 20 sales a day to 100 plus a day and this will last until the first wk in july. Now do you guys think this will get them outta their slump or what?

Just got word that Ford WILL follow and do the same thing with the customer=worker discount thing. They must be hurting as well...

DCX doesn't have to do this. But yet, it's said around here "DCX is going down the drain". yeah right

DCX does do it. Hello, emp choice? Ever heard of it. All you need is to know an emp, and bingo you get the discount. We've had this for over a year! On a side note getting laid off for another 3 weeks fo "inventory adjustments", but everything is just ducky in dcx land!

What I meant was we dont have to annouce it on commercials every 5 minutes on TV for every one of our sub brands. Talk about desperate.
When it comes to sales, Ford down, GM down, Chrysler up.
Joe - You think it's bad that you get laid off for a weeks at a time? What about the thousands of GM employees that will be laid off for good by 2009! Suddenly, it doesn't seem so bad does it?
