Good save on the guy in the right lane. I wonder if he had been running a full floating axle if it would have done that...

ive seen cars at the track lose tires/wheels on quite a few occassions. the more common case is when the car sheers the studs off...and a full floating axle wouldnt help hide the fact that someone has a ton of torque and cheap axles.

Yeah I know what you mean bad strat but with a full floater he would have just busted the axle and his wheels would have stayed on. I don't get how people dump tons of money into the motor and transmission then pretty much leave the axles un touched.

if that car is heavily built, even good axles will break...but youre right, most people dont upgrade the rear diff. and axles.

Wow that sucks. But you guys are right, most people dont mess with the rear diff and the axles. I dont think they do it because its a lot of math involved in it. You have to worry about little or too much backlash if you did a gear swap. And the driveshaft angle being very important as well. Its just a little overwhelming.
