i raced a rival team's cobalt SS at the track two weeks ago and SMOKED him.im stock besides a cai and by the looks of his car(had a custom paint job) i assumed it had a little sumsum under the hood but man i was wrong. it wasnt even close. i was really surprised that i beat him that bad(3-4 lengths atleast)considering everyone said it would be a close race. turns out the fool put SS badges all over his cobalt LS hahaha! what a douche!his motor has some parts on it but still what a loser

 

come on now....dont bash on the guy for trying to make his car look fast.I see lots of neons with srt4 parts and it makes me proud to own own one and that these people look up to us, same deal with cobalts.Now if he's an arrogant little bitch then its ok to laugh ur *** off!!!just trying to keep it peace full around here

i was runnin pretty worn streets and it was like my 8th run atleast that day so i spun and didnt run it hard after i noticed that his car wasnt runnin that fast. and yes i have boughten some bfg drag radials since then(my first day at a track) so next time it will be by 20 atleast haha

Yea, I would expect you to have killed the car stock for stock, Ive been against SRT 4's and have only been able to beat 1, and that was after the few mods that i have (Im stock with a tune and air box mod) that alone help me to pull....barely....I cant wait for Stage 2, it will be interesting to race an SRT 4 after that. How much does it cost for the SRT 4's stage kits?

edit: i have an 06 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged with cross drilled rotors, Ingalls ETD, a tune, and an air box mod.

Perhaps you can share some of your knowledge of the SS and mods available for them. I know the S2 gives the SS a pretty nice powerboost.
