well i officially raced my friends cobalt, this kid thinks hes so fast so great yada ya speed freakin racer, well last night from a stand still i took him the whole way 3/4 of a car to a full car until 4800 rpms in 3rd gear shifted to fourth he was blown away, hes god a cai, im still stock, heavy *** system in the trunk. lol then he comes out with well i wasnt ready so we did it again, then complains because the person with him another friend of mine was supposuvly scared hahaha yeah right, fact and the matter is both times he lost and both times cant handle it, then i turned and laughed and said uhhhh yeah, i love my neon.....

 

excuses... and stock for stock the SRT will win every time

cobalt is a nice little car....butno match for us....come back with a better story, evo maybe????

 

It pretty much takes a cobalt w/ stg2 to run with us stock....Think it puts them in the 240hp range....

 

my friend has a yellowcobalt ss s/c. i laugh every time we race. try the freeway next time thats when its fun.

 

no doubt... there is a pretty decent video of a S2 SS running a SRT on streetfire (as much as i hate that site due to the childish nature of it)
but put a S2 SRT against the S2 SS... same resultas stock against stock, SRT wins in every case
yes, cobalts SS is a really nice car, my wife and i actually looked into them. but 3 things swayed this decision
1. owned neons already, and loved them (even being slow)
2. 4 door car > 2 door any day when you have kids
3.SRT was a better bang for the buck

i wonder though, do Cobalt SS owners hate having their cars called just a cobalt as much as some SRT4 owners hate beign called just a neon??? my personal opinion is to get over it... itsis a Cobalt / Neon, just a little beefier.

 

yeah i dont race my friends ss because lets see. he is stage 5 with meth injection. that thing scares me its so faast
