Did someone say there was?
I would take a hemi over any other v-8 anyday.... I will take any american made diesel over any gas engine. and I will take a Cummins over any diesel engine with the exception of a Cat.

Yeah... there are a couple more videos of that Toyota beating a Ford and a Chevy... I think it is crap, those look like it was filmed for a commercial for the "Toyota of Bellvue" dealership... of course they are gonna want the Toyota to win.

So what you're saying is, that if the Toyota is beating the Ford or Chevy....it's obviously rigged? I don't get it? So everyone everywhere, is rigging things in favor of Toytota? I didn't realize the world owed Toyota a favor???????

Doesn't Ford claim even more than that for the regular F150? I pity the fool trying that with the 5.4 Triton - it just doesn't seem to have all of its 300 horses present for the job.

I own a dodge and it is completely plausible for the new tundra 5.7 to beat the hemi. Because toyota has been using the hemisperical engine cylinder headdesign for years. Dodge just decided to bring back a old engine cylinder design from the 70's with little or no real improvements. While toyota has been playin' with the same design for years. Why do you think toyota is spankin' everyone in the nascar truck series. and it's only a matter of time before the dominant in the car series. So get over it people, the Hemi isn't that great. It's a old tired design that needs some improvement.
I have seen 10 new tundras around here. Of the 10, I have only raced 2 from a dead stop, the others were all driven by olderguys who were probably in their mid to late 50's (just by looks) and drove about 15 under the speed limit. As for the 2 I was able to race both times when the light turned green my tires would hook up and I was gone while they were stillsitting at the light smoking their tires, both times was a light to light drag (about a quarter mile +/-), and both times we never went over 65mph. The first truck had an exhaust and I was able to beat it by about 3-4 car lengths, the second was bone stock and I was able to beat it by about 6 car lengths. They are quick trucks and with a few other mods I have no doubt that they would have beat me.

Umm, why do you think the engine in our trucks is the "old" design? We all know that virtually every engine on the market today uses hemispherical heads. The current Ram engine has nothing in common with the engines from the 60s except the name. I think you're the one who needs to check his facts.
Also, I can't believe you joined the site just to post your tirade. The 345hp 5.7 liter makes more power and torque than Chevy's 275hp LT1 and its LS1, plus the respective versions in their trucks. "Tired" and "old" design, huh? I think 4 years after its introduction the Hemi still proves it's a great design.

Obviuosly, Sno doesn't know what he's talking about. He has a ricer. Those Tundra's have *****!! They have a great engine. But they're still Asian in my mind. For a truck, I go with Dodge then Chevy then GMC then Ford then Nissan then Toyota. It is just based on how American the truck is. Otherwise, if I didn't care about that, I'd be sitting in a Titan maybe. Nah, a Dodge. What we are trying to say on this forum about the Tundra is that it has ***** but it's super ugly.
