Man I wish my clutch was as easy to do as a car's clutch. How much does the transmission weigh on that thing? My roommate's car (280 zx) weighed nothing. I knew it would be light compared to mine, but seriously it was like 50 pounds far cry from my transmission and transfer case which tip the scales at a little over 500 or so. Kudos to you for doing your own work though, I'll be doing my clutch on monday as well, that's not light either, I think 105 lbs or something.

 

im sure its not too heavy, i'll be usinga lift and transmission jack at the shop i work at so it should be a quick and easy job, plus my boss who isASE certified is going to walk me through the whole thing so i dont screw anything up because ive never changed a clutch before...

 

that crazy. a buddy of mine has a srt4 with 500 plus horsepower

the turbo is HUGE

anyways we went for a ride and we were doin a bout 60. he dropped a gear it caughts hit the boost and the tires juss spun. till 80

when he let off...needless to say, i was impressed and almost 100 percent sure i had whiplash.....srts are def. not sumthing to mess with

 

ok well i did the clutch today and the tranny is pretty heavy took two ppl to lift it and put it on a table.
