I know the specs say 170 hp on the v6 cougar but they are weak......i killed my friends v6 cougar on several occasions and he had a few mods on his....I dont know about a manual v6 cougar though...never seen one....but the auto can definately be dusted by a manual 2nd gen neon no problemo

 

Lol yeah. Totally stock '05 SXT auto. Also at 2,000 ft. and it was around 90 outside.

 

i raced a stock auto cougar when i was stock and it was COMPLETELY even. both cars went up and back a few inches because of the gear ratios, but they were dead even

the last time i went to the local drag strip, i actually beat a vr6, it was an older model not sure what year. i have a vid of it on my phone but don't know how to post it

 

lol i need to create a payback list. i can honestly say ive lost every race ive been in with the neon (atx)
trucks, minivans, yea a 01+ vr6, i remember when i got my *** handed to me by a subaruforester ( i think, it was the one that looked like an a mini suv butthe faster version),an old *** grandprix, even other neons (mtx tho)u name it lol, i did beat a cavi tho.I cant wait to put my other toy on the road and get even lol i should get a decal that says "paybacks a bitch" with a pic of my neon and stick it to the back of the civic...then ill own the streets of St. mary's ...then the world!!!.... a man can dream cant he lol
