Got a new mustang GT500
I raced a new GT500 at the strip in Bradenton FL. He said he had bolt ons, and he was running drag radials. He ran a 12.00 to my 11.72. It was a pretty good running stang. Afterwords, I took the drag radials off and installed my normal 20' radials. My truck is 2wd and weighs in at 6,130, so it's tough to come off the line decent without wheel spin. Anyway, I ran a 12.13 at 120 to his 11.99 at 118. I cut a better light which made us side by side at the end. Great race.. Anyway, watch out for the new stangs.. They can be quick..
I was in my 06 Dodge 2500 2wd diesel. It's a standard cab short bed. I shortened the frame 22' for the short bed to fit correctly.. It's got twin cp3 injection pumps, twin turbos, larger injectors, injector bodies, fluidampr, custom intercooler, airdog lift pump, full HTS trans with suncoast converter, ats exhaust manifold, Silverline 5' exhaust, 3.42 gears, Hellmann air horn, caltracks, head studs, etc, etc.. I've been having a little programming troubles.. I plan to push it into the 10's before I spray it.. 11.6 is my best time so far with the old programming.. It has a race weight of 6,130 pounds..
The truck has 20' wheels, and a few dressup items, yet it doesn't look any different than many gas trucks that you see every day. I'm not sure how to post pictures here. I can email you a picture if you'd like.. Just PM me your email address..
