Yep, but only because it's a complete joke of it's former self. The SRT-8 version might get the job done though.

Add another GTO to my list of kills. Some dude in an 04 automatic was revving at me, but I wasn't in the mood to race. Beleive it or not, I'm not one to go out looking for it. For the most part, I avoid it, but this guy wouldn't let it go. Anyway, he keeps revving at me and I try to blow it off. We get through the intersection and I'd about had enough of this tool. A downshift to 2nd gear from about 40 mph, through 3rd and let off at about 4500 rpm in 4th. He wasn't even able to keep it close. I can't beleive the difference between the auto and 6 speed. My buddy has a 6 speed and we were dead even, but the automatic is a bit of a dog. Lots of noise, not much sauce. I actually like the GTO's, but that's just me. I was just surprised at how big the difference was between the 2 transmissions.

2004 GTO w/ the 350 hp LS1 is easily capable of a mid to lower 13 second pass@ 105-107 properly driven...Most of the crappy times you guys see are drivers that havent figured the irs launch out yet. Ls1 would yank you w/ your mods @ the big end. 2005 LS2 GTO have already been turning 12.8-9's bone stock...Please dont go by C&D and R&T times :lol: , they couldnt drag race to save there lives
