Me Vs. 2004 GTO highway!
welll i was coming on to the on ramp and i see a black GTO go screamin by so i jumped on it and cought up, come to find out it was this like 50 year old guy in his GTO. so he looks over, and i down shifted to 4th and gave hi a little bit of the mopar BOV
(my mods are just BOV, and MBC set at 16.) anyhow...so were playin around back and forth and were coming up to the tolls now...so he comes in to the tolls goes through and i went through mine (i was right next to him) and we came out of the tolls and all i see is his *** end of the car slam to the ground! so i hit 3rd and STARTED INCHING!!! when we took off he was about a half length ahead of me, and when we let off at 130 i was about 1/4 car ahead of him! my best and most fun race so far i must say! after that he went by and i gave him the thumbs up and....you guessed it...he didnt even look at me! hahahha just thought i'd share my kill!

sweeeeeeet... glad to hear it... I have always been surprized, that this four cylinder motor has better top end than most cars... I would have figured the opposite, but if you go to top speed with nearly any other car, the srt will pull!!!

Nice, I was wondering how the srt stacked up. I test drove a goat (rode kinda like an f body) and was only going to buy from one of the "big 3". I usually don't find any racing on the streets, hondas with big tachs usually know better... I went to dodge for a new dakota since the last one (96) treated me so well, wanted to drive some fun cars before I bought a truck. Never did get a ride in that new dakota.... I passed on an 04 blue mach 1 with 1700mi. for $21,000 to get something more "practical", I already have a mustang anyway, my 66 stang is currently using all of my mod money.

The GTO is and isn't a bad ***. The '04's tested by Motor Trend did the exact same 0-60 MPH (5.3 sec.), 1/4 mile (13.9) and top end (over 150 MPH) as the '04 SRT-4 they tested. However, the newer '05 GTO has an additional 50 horsepower over the '04 GTO, so that would have made for a different outcome.[sm=bangbang.gif]
