I was driving home from work last week, the road I drive is two lanes in both directions, nobody was on it except for myself and a Durango with a Magnum V8 and cat back duals, We both stopped at light and he heard my 318 with its glass pack and 2in cat back, he looked over at me and gave me thumbs up and reved in engine and looked straight ahead, I dont as a rule drag light to light but I HAD to meet this challenge. The light turns green and we both take off I'm easing down on the accelerator and pulling away nicely, he punches it and could'nt get past me the whole 1/4 mile (approx) his front bumper was even with my back bumper, when we got to the next light we were moving my speedo said 85 and climbing, when we stopped we gave me thumbs up and a look of disbelief that a 25 year old Chrysler got him!

 

Congrats! Hopefully you never come across a black Ram on Central Ave in Albany. LOL

 

I dont get to Albany all that much, but if your in Clifton Park near the Monro Muffler I'll remember not to try my luck with you!! I raced on Rte 9 outside of Halfmoon, we started by Ballston Spa Savings bank.

Haha that's awesome, my first car was an 84' 5th ave! Man I loved that thing, unfortunately the previous owners didn't take very good care of it, so I ended up having to let it go. I did manage to slap on a flowmaster 40 (I think, it's been a while) when I had it. That ole' V8 had a good rumble to it. Most comfortable car I've ever been in, hands down! If I could get another one, I would in a heartbeat.

 

I had a 85 and a 87 5th ave. I love those cars, mine had soo much power and handled soo good. I just put a 86 fith ave into a demo last weekend and that thing dominated

 

Been down that way a few times but I'm pretty sure I'd remember it if I ever saw the Ram in question

 

WOW ... those are some awesome shots. I have never been to a NASCAR race but have wanted to go for a long time. You really got some close shots, must have had some connections huh??
