Default Me vs. SRT-4

Since I can run (or should i say i could in high school) a 11 sec 100 meter dash, does that mean I am faster than my car? Since 100 meters is like 330 feet, I could do the 60 in 2 seconds. Wait that means I am as fast as most cars to 60'. imagine my surprise - I'm talking myself in circles. Holy crap - I just realized I can run to 60' faster than I can drive it. I gotta' get this on video.

Imagine. Me vs. srt-4. I got the car by a nose to 60'.(I am jewish - so my nose is a little big - unfair advantage). The car catches up and - damn - by 25 mph, it is starting to pass me. good race at the start though.

What are you on?[sm=alcoholic.gif] You would have to be as quick as a cheetah to run that kind of time. Your trying to claim that you can run down the length of a football field in less than 11 seconds.[sm=bs.gif] If that were possible you would have been in the record books long ago for the fastest land mammal.

Not on anything, RR[sm=alcoholic.gif]. Actually I ran the 100 in 10.8 at my best. The record, for you guys who doubt, is 9.7_, so a 11 sec 100 meter, is actually not even competitive at world class level. The best I did was state championship placement, and national competition qualification. We were state champs in my freshman year, and I was on the Varsity team in every year through high school. I went to college for track and field, but threw javelin.

I wasn't trying to brag - it was a humorous interjection. But true, in fact.

I was surprised that cars launch as slow as they do, but it turns out motivating 3200 lbs to move takes a lot more than 165 lbs.

A cheetah can clip along at 70 mph, so it would run the 100 meter in about 3.5 seconds. Now that is fast. It would actually roast our cars to 60 if you check into it you will see that it is true.

Seriously, look at football players. Some can run the 40 in 4 flat with equipment on(that's 40 yards, (120 feet)). See - they run twice the distance of the 60' in 4 seconds with football equipment on. I bet they could cover the football field in 11 seconds, no problem.

So don't hate, friend. I just thought it a funny observation. I am going to get it on video in the spring - I think it would be a funy clip. I'll make sure I post it when I do.

"LMAO yeah a little unbelievable "

It's true. Check out your facts.

BTW - I doubt I could run it faster than 13 or 14 seconds, now. I am a slow, 30 year old man, now.

100meters is actually more than a football feild which is 100 yards

1 yard is 3feet

1 meter is 3 feet 3 inches

You are correct, sir. Actually, it's slightly more than 3'3". More like 3 meters=10 feet.

Like I said:

They run metric races in track and field, so I ran the 100meter. I also ran the 200 meter in around 23 seconds, the 400 meter ( which they for some reason call the 1/4 mile) in around 53 seconds, and the 800 meter ( ditto half mile) in around 1:55:00. All metric.

As a side note:I threw the javelin 190+feet at my best. For some reason they use standard measure for that. - Great to be an american; we can't even decide on a consistent form of measure.

And yes - a good football player can run 100 yards in less than 11 seconds, for sure.

I would like to see the video once you make it. Sounds like it would look funny. I also did track in high school and my numbers are similar to yours. I think its definately easier to start moving 150-200 lbs than 3200 lbs.
