Thanks for sticking up for me Strat, but you don't have to.

Moparman-Just so you know, I had a full page response to your thread, but after reading it, I did not want you or anyone else to take offense to it. If you go through the threads you will see that I stated that I was not sure of the exact times, just giving estimates. I will retrack everything I said to calm you down. From now on, I drive a stock Lightning. I run 13.8 @ 99mph and have a 2.2 60' time. I am not here to argue. My intentions of joining this site was to get some info on the Hemi Ram and peek in on some 300c threads, that was it.

Life's too short to sit here and argue.
OK, I apologize for getting a little personal. I have often typed replies and then decided against it, but with all the trolls and flamers, I have been a little quick to criticize.
So, anyway, I never doubted a mid 12 second time, but with such a nose heavy 4500+ vehicle, it would take alot of work to get it to launch like that without a high stall converter.
I build engines and put my own combos together, I race at the track alot so I see what trucks are doing what.
Supercharged Lightnings have much potential and are some of the fastest modified trucks out there.
Anyway, welcome again and sorry we got off on the wrong 60 foot!LOL

well lampy, he just goes to show that even douchbags can buy dodges...

as for the lightning, i have seen a guy at my home track GREATLY drop his ET just by changing blower pulleys. he had a kit that had 3 different pulleys and he was doing a writeup about the product...i talked to him for a while...the only mods he had was a ram air setup, the pulleys, catback, and hoosier QTPs...and he was about as fast as i am, if not faster..i dont remember exactly..i know that we ran once, and i did beat him, running high 60s..

I added my 60' time to my sig, I have stock suspension except for the worn out drag shocks,
a 3500 stall converter, and 4.30 gears. The best 60' so far has been a 1.60 with a 5000 stall converter that I recently sold since I drive alot on the street.

Thank You MoparmanJames. Believe me, I am in no way trying to start something. I actually like this site better than most of the Ford ones. I read one of BadStrat's post in here about how a lot of Mustang owners think they are race car drivers and they don't do much to their cars but put the loudest exhaust they can find on it and all of a sudden they are race car drivers. He hit the nail right on the head. I have even seen posts on guys with six cylinder mustangs beating Lightnings!!!! The bad part is, nobody calls BS, they all feed each other. There are mustang owners that know what they are doing and I respect the car, but man, most of those guys are showoffs.

I will say that I feel that Dodge is staying true to their horsepower roots. It's obvious, SRT's are kicking butt. I'm sure you've all heard this before that people make fun of the SRT-4 and say it's just a neon. Honestly, I think they are afraid of it, I know I am. A little while back I was at a test and tune at the track and ended up side by side to an SRT-4. Turns out he wanted to race his buddy one car ahead of me in line. I did not think much about it until he turn a 12.7 and made his mustang friend look like an idiot. All the SRT's are BADASS. Chevy, they really only have the Z06 that's worth looking at, oh yeah, if you can afford to even look at it. Ford has a few tricks up their sleeves, the the Shelby GT500. But still, they are putting all their eggs in one basket if you ask me. Anyways, not to babble too much, thank you for welcoming me and hopefully we don't get on each others nerves too much. LOL

BadStrat- I was suprised at just what the 4 lb pulley does for these trucks, let alone a 6 or 8 pounder. As far as mods go, I have to do a little at a time. I have other things that suck up the $$$, and now my wife and I have just added one more little expense which will suck up any future mods for a little while.

About $200 for the lower pulley. Pretty cheap mod that is well worth the money. Of course you will want to burn a new chip to get the full potential without sacrificing anything major.

The bra mod only works in conjunction with the Type R emblem.
