I was having a nice drive down a strip of road at White Rock beach
in White Rock [in my 3.0 (3.3) shadow 5spd]. The speed limit is 30kph. So i was doing 30 and all of the sudden i hear crackling engine noises behind me. I look in the mirror
and am instantly blinded by his HI-BEAMS, at this point i was in 2nd
at about 2800rpm. so i tromped the gas for a few seconds.
Knowing that this part of the beach has cops all over it i lay'd off.
Untill Route 15, Where i turned left and waited in the left lane for him.
He pulled up beside me and said "on 3" then he honked 3 times and on the 3rd we were off. In 1st i had a lead untill i shifted and he pulled out a bit, i heard his Duster chirp into 2nd and i began to pull ahead, Then as soon as i hit 3rd i pulled a full car length on him.
into 4th i could tell he would not catch me so i tapped out at 125kph/80mph. [8D]

Beat a '96 Mustang GT 4.6 tonight in the Bonneville. I lost to him by half a car length from a roll but we found a stoplight and I took him all the way to 100mph, then he hit the brakes. I didn't smoke him but a win is a win.

his is a 302 and I get him by several car lengths
But that's about to end.... he bought the systemax heads,cam and intake kit and asked me to help install it so.....
He'll get me for a few weeks but.....
I just bought a 465hp 383 stroker for my vette that will smoke him again!!!

He's got one of the slowest Cobras, if you can even call it that, the slowest is still crazy fast. Here you can get a 350HP 289, 385HP 302, 400HP 351, 430HP 392, 485HP 460, 500HP 428, 585HP 427, or a 600HP 514. The 400 horse 351 will do 0-60 in 4.0 and 11.6 1/4 Miles, as according to the builders. That's a nice Vette! My neighbor had a '76 LT-88. What engine does yours have in it?
