[sm=smiley3.gif] If that thing ran 8's I would not be surprised! That's got a 427 with already around 585 horsepower so they added a Supercharger/Blower to that.

You can get those pretty cheap from a company here, but they are only cheap if you build it yourself, the car basically shows up in a box. They also have replicas and reproductions, those are anywhere from 35K to 55K. Then they have original Cobras but they are closer to the 100K and above mark. Two guys at my dad's office have them, they both built them. One has the 351 and the other has the 427.

 

I smoked a 300M today in the shadow.
At a light waiting to get to the bus loop to drop off my buddy.
I noticed him inch forward when the turn light went.
When the green came, the back of his car sank but not much happend.

I took out something just around 2 hours ago, it was 12:15AM and it was dark in color. Whatever it was it was turbocharged because I heard it, I always let the other person pick the fight, I just win it.[sm=smiley2.gif] I think it might have been a VW Jetta, but I'm not sure. I think he was irritated by the way I blew by him while he had slowed down at a light that we were coming up to, I was farther back and I had seen that the light was changing so I didn't slow down as much and when I shifted I was between his car and another on the other side in a turn lane. I think the BOV woke him up.[sm=smiley15.gif][sm=smiley36.gif] Anyway, I see him coming up busting *** on me, but another light stopped us. I don't even bother to look over, I just wait for the light and his reaction. When it turned green I took off 100% normal, but a little before him and he did what I figured he would do. I heard his turbo spool up, so I jumped into the throttle and left him back a couple car lengths, but then there was a vehicle up ahead in his lane, so he got behind me as I had to slow down for the railroad tracks. Once over the tracks He did what I figured, hoped in the other lane and jumped into it again, so naturally I did the same. This time we had breathing room, flashing yellow lights instead of the normal traffic signals, so off we went again. But this time I left him way back, around 15 car lengths back this time, then I hit the brakes because I had made my point. Then he comes up beside me at a normal rate of speed and gives me a thumbs up, which I thought was pretty cool and better than what most would do after a loss.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley16.gif] After he went on ahead of me in the other lane, my headlights barely caught his exhaust a little and I noticed that he had an aftermarket exhaust on it with the dual oversized tips that sweep up. So apparently he had done a few things to his for performance, where mine only has plug wires and a BOV. Chalk another one up for the SRT-4's win column. l [sm=smiley20.gif]

I have been defeated!
I pulled up beside a newer corvette tonight.
He must have heard my exhaust or something cause he started reving the **** out of his engine when the light went yellow.
I managed to stay up by the back of his door (1/2 car) untill the top of 3rd when he started to pull away. It was nice to see a corvette go fast though.
I hope he did'nt feel to good about beating a shadow. (hehe)
but I lost so boo-hoo
