4.7 Ram...
So, Amanda and i were headed to yet another regular excursion to the Chrysler Museum the other night, and then to dinner, and on the way, i was behind a green 3rd gen ram. i dont know if anyone is familiar with the entry to the WPC museum, but as you exit the highway, there is a two lane ramp, and both lanes turn right onto a four lane road, then right past that, you have to turn left. So as we exit, the ram is in the left lane, and i pull into the right lane. the light turns green, and i spin the tires a bit pulling out and get ahead of the ram. the enxt left, onto the actual road where WPCM is, is also a two lane turn. As i get into the turning lane, i am in the right lane, and the ram pulls along side me, both headed onto the road toward the museum (and the proving grounds). the ram begins edging up..more and more..so i begin to do the same. it was a V8, but not a hemi, and if it was a hemi, it had no badging, and the low end wheels...quad cab, 4wd. as the light turned green, i wasnt into it right away until i heard the ram spin the tires a bit, so i got into it when i had my front end at their front door. at that speed and RPM range my car is sort of in the wheel house, so i got ahead quickly, and although he pulled even at one point, as we crested the hill that leads down to the entrance of the Chrysler complex, i began to walk away, and then had to slow down to make the turn into the museum. its been a while since ive played around much, as around here, the traffic is ALWAYS so dense, that there isnt much screwing around to be done, but out by the WPC museum, there is Never traffic on the weekends...im sure our detroit area members will back me up on that.

hate to tell him but at 105 it shuts off..mine does any way. but the 4.7 ram does pull the truck pretty well people who race me usaly have cars and when i beat them or they barly beat me they always ask what i have im vary proud of my truck :-D.
yup yup....and iv gotton pretty good at driving it too, people think im crazy when i say right b4 the truck is about to shift i left off the gas a lil bit. but if i have it floored and i dont tourq manegment comes in and it dosent shift good when i let off a lil bit it has a nice firm shift that you can feel and it pulls away

I would still be looking to drag a hemi truck, thus far this old 95 RAM 3500 8.0 has held off a hemi magnum wagon thing those things seem pretty quick the guy I contested with works at Borla and had tti tubes and the rest Borla, thing sounds mean but not enough had one hemi truck but traffic got in the way, he did not go by me but niether one of us could really nail it. fox body messed up **** that ain't no good's and assorted generous motors products are great fun to spank! Not a single jap car has blown by yet either this being land of the blinged slammed kinda **** most of these things only pack the horse stereo. Client of mine had WRX could smoke me in the canyon's when he got by real hard keeping 7350 something # truck turning in with skilled operator in front but it is capable of putting the hurt to ricardo racers otherwise.
so you have a V10 3500 that will outrun a modded magnum? thats pretty impressive. is it rwd or 4wd? and whats going on with that mirada of yours?
Extra cab 2WD 187k mi. 47RH shift enhanced, small cam, 1.7 rocker, 1.97 Intake and associated pocket/chamber work, generous fresh air, speculation is when magnum goes to stiffer gear it may get me in the 1/4. I still want to build a set of headers and do 3" dual out right now exhaust is stock to the cats and unmuffeld 2 1/4 out to back bumper duals, that stock water heater size muff was just to quiet! and 2 chamber 3" flowmaster,s 2 1/2 in, 3" out with no kittys was too loud. (I must be getting old and NOT DEAF ENOUGH YET!)
We took the Mirada out to the street races in July and lightend a "it's a 327" Vega wallet by 200.00 Mirada is pissed of at me because I left it on the trailer for like a week so it broke some thing in valvetrain whilst unloading it from the trailer this is why, Girlfreind is getting me a main hoop for B-day so I can do 8 point bar and whip up the A rod 340 maybe in Feburary to try too make MoPars at the strip next year, don't know for sure yet as I still haven't seen all of my clients race schedules for 2006 yet, last year we were at Portland the same weekend. (= week and a half)
