I know that these trucks aren't for this but I couldn't resist tentation (and I'm not going to do it again :

I was driving (ALONE) at the highway when a Grand Cherokee (03 with v8) and a Mazda Tribute (v6) passed me at high speed. Definitely, they were racing. Obviously the Jeep was on the front but I wonder... how good the Durango performs at this level? To keep the story short... the Mazda Tribute enjoys the show from the back seat for less than 2 minutes. It was impressive how the Cherokee and the Durango left the Mazda behind very easily (It was also funny too).

I was able to get at the back of the Cherokee without any problem. Can't pass him but I can tell: the –D- kept the pace and respect very NICE!

A HEMI would finished the job but the 4.7L doesn’t have anything to be ashamed of.

So... next time I will try a Ford Explorer.... naaaah.

Not to bad but if your going to race better to have a bigger engine with some sweet upgrades.

Ford just sucks. I rode in my friends 01 F-150 with the 5.4L the other day he had just gotten his MagnaFlow cat back thrown on and a K&N drop in and he punched it from the light. Talk about some gutless performance and a waste of money. He was so happy I couldn't believe it. My truck would have eatin it for lunch stock. I didn't want to start and crap so I let it die off because it was my friend but it was worth a good laugh. He is trying to tell me his truck has more overall power than mine stock. If it does, why the hell would mine leave him if the dust then?

 

I don't know much about the 360...but I don't think it's to much faster than the F-150. I think the 4.7L might even be faster than the 360? I know when 360's are modded then they're hella fast!
