RE: Jimmie Johnson wins the Daytona 500, Mears/Newman get 2nd/3rd
I called the right top 5!!!!!!!! I got the top 5 manufacturer cars right, but the wrong order.
I said in an earlier post that the finish would be chevy chevy dodge dodge ford. It finished Chevy, Dodge, Dodge, Ford, Chevy.
I came close!

RE: Jimmie Johnson wins the Daytona 500, Mears/Newman get 2nd/3rd
Though I'm happy Newman got 3rd... I'm pissed with Casey Mears for not going with Newman. [:@] THey could have went 3 wide or something, but Casey pushed Jimmie to the win...
Then the BS caution... The last guy, on the last lap, no debrie, all by himself and it's a caution? Give me a damn break NASCAR...
[:@]
Would have been different if McMurray didn't take out Busch. Cause Newman and Busch were working great together and I think they had a chance to get 1st and 2nd... But it won't happen when people take others out, people don't go for the win and BS cautions come out...

RE: Jimmie Johnson wins the Daytona 500, Mears/Newman get 2nd/3rd
Well, my fantasy team sucked big ones today. Where do I beging.
I had Johnson and then swtiched him for Gordon when Johnson's crew chief was suspended.
Chose Bobby Labonte, came in 35th, over Casey Mears and Elliot Sadler, #3 and 4 respectively.
And then I went with Petty over Schrader, Petty was 39th - Schrader was 10th.
So, if I knew anything. I could have had all my picks in the top 10. As it happened.
Dale Jr - 5th
Gordon - 26th
B Labonte - 35th
Petty - 39th
Ok, vent is over. Time to prepare for next week.

I'm pi$$ed that Kurt Busch got taken out at the end because he and Newman were working so well together, something we hadn't seen from the Penske cars in the past. If Busch had been there at the end I think it would have been a DODGE sweep of the front three! DAMN!

Yeah, Newman got the shaft from Mears, and yeah, once Busch went out, so did Ryan's chances of winning. FYI, Mears and Newman might both drive Dodges, but Mears was a groomsmen at JJ's wedding, I can't fault him for being loyal to a friend.

RE: Jimmie Johnson wins the Daytona 500, Mears/Newman get 2nd/3rd
Mears said during his after race interview that he agreed to work with Newman but got caught in a string of cars that followed and wasn't about to risk getting taken out of the race while trying to follow the 12. Good enough reason for me to stay put and go with the flow.
