close but extremely high 9's if even, while they are heavy as crap busas have taken the old muscle car approach.......heavy as hell but enuf power to make that arguement disappear

They are fast and now all the bikes are restricted to 186 mph (if they have the power to go that fast) right from the showroom floor.

 

but that can be easily gotten around...

 

yeah bikes can be messed with sooooo much easier than any car.

 

It is amazing what a little resistor can do.

 

I find it amazing that Rickey Gadson done a high 9 sec. (9.93) quarter mile on a new Yamaha R6 with a tie down strap, lowering links and a 1 tooth smaller countershaft sprocket. Other than that the bike was stock. Rickey is a professional drag racer but it just goes to show how much advanced the 600 class has become. It is all the bike anyone needs but there are always those out there that like to push the envelope. Damn, I hate I sold my busa!!!
