Default More wieght reduction!! Can't wait to get to the track *PICS

Well, I'm waiting on the funds for the new clutch and turbo rebuild, so I decided to finish up the diet plan for the interior.

Everything came out, evap, heater core, blower motor, lines, plugs and extra wire harness. Lost about another 40-45 lbs. and I love the look of emptyness. The green pad is temp for now to keep my buddies knees from getting banged up. A sheet metal front plate will be going on soon.

Pretty quick car! Looks good too, I also like the empty look.

Your doing what I wanted to do to my Shelby Z, but it would have been far more bare than this. It would have had 2 very light racing seats and nothing else but gauges, no carpet or anything else at all.

For even more reduction, throw out the passenger seat and your buddy!!!! Not while you're moving, of course!!!![sm=smiley36.gif]

Gas is heavy yo!!

As far as gas, on my N/A set-up, I would get to the track with less than a 1/4 tank. With the turbo, I try to stay right at or a little above 1/4. (Don't want to starve the new pump and go lean)

Air is heavy too....oh wait, no it aint.

I run the normal tire pressure in my street tires at the track, but I run 11 psi in my drivers side slick and 12 psi in my pass. (Still haven't made a pass on the slicks with the turbo)

Hey, I just had an idea that I don't think anyone has ever thought of before. To make the car a little lighter, deflate the tires and refill them with helium or any one of the lighter gases. Also get a light weight sealed container and fill it as well, it could occupy the trunk space and passenger space as well.[sm=smiley24.gif][sm=smiley36.gif] This brings me to a question though, how do the tanks of compressed helium keep from floating away, because it even compressed so there is alot more in it?[sm=smiley24.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]
