actually, an 03-04 cobra, which is a factory supercharged model, and is dishonestly rated at 390hp *should* beat the last gen LS1 cars, stock for stock...however, that is not always the case.

i seriously dont even know why you guys even talk down F bodys. i mean being a dodge owner and everything is great. but what dodge can run 150mph stock?

 

i dont see how top speed is any estimation of performance quality...my stratus is a pig, and ive had it to 145...it wont get there in a few seconds, but it will get there....srt-4s will, as will any other srt product.

while the LSX series cars have a great deal of potential, alot of people who buy them talk like they are suddenly john force, because they bought an already modded car that is fast, or a car that is stock, and will beat stock mustangs...

 

Of course its not always the case, anything can happen at the track. But if both make optimal runs, the 03/04 cobra wins...

Personally i havent tested it but i have hit 135mph in her and had lots left.

 

Supercharge an LS1 and see what happens at the track ;oP
-Ford had to charge their cobras to hang with LS1's and barely win ..... Ocassionally.
