I never see anyone post on here about racing a LS1 camaro/ Trans Am. Is there no one that wants to take a chance with them or what?

 

I've killed one in my stock srt-4. He couldnt drive and had is radio on at the track...pulled a 15 flat to my 14.6. If they are a good driver, i wouldn't touch them unless i knew i could pull 13.5s.

 

The Camero / Trans AM aint no mustang!
They are actually Fast ....... So you better have something to run one even when they are stock.

 

I have a mid 11 sec Z28. Usually I don't get alot of people wanting to start crap with me.

pulling a 15 second ET at the track with a LS1 is horrible.

when did you get the Z?

 

I have beaten quite a few of them, not much to talk about except for the ones running in stock and super stock. Some of those are pretty fast. There is a high 11 second trans am at our track but it's usually broken.

 

I have had the Z since April. 2 of my friends owned the car before I did. One never drove it and the other one works for a shop down in Texas. I am dynoing the car on saturday. I was just curious because all of you rag on Fords and ricers but never see a post about LS1 kills.

Last night a Viper was supposed to come play with a couple of us but he chickened out. Guess he didn't want to get beat by a 650RWHP LS1 RX7.

 

so what is the best that you have run in the car?

 

old setup with 370RWHP on ET streets it went 12.0 @ 112mph. Tomorrow the car goes on the dyno and hoepully sunday the weather is good enough to make some runs at the track.

 

but was that with you, or the previous owner?
