they are both mostly appearance packages...the daytona is offered in a QC, while the rumble bee is not..

well I raced a daytona tonight. I am a 06 hemi ram rcsb 2wd and he was the same and we bothe had CAI and superchips and he had a borla exhaust while I am stock exhaust and he had amazing rubber while I have stock rubber and I beat him by 3 tenths.....he is also a wayyyyyy better driver than me. our R/T's speak for that. My times are slower than i figured them to be, I hoped to be high 14's but i guess that at around 2500 or so feet the elevation took a toll on me.

what did you run, and what did he run? i cant imagine why he was so much slower...
say that you ran 15.00 @ 90mph...at 2500 feet. using the NHRA elevation correction table, that would put you around 14.55@92.79mph...those arent by any means perfect numbers, but it gives you an idea.

My best run of the night was a 15.34 at 87.99 and his run against me was a 15.71 at 86.40. He said all his runs normally are in the 15.7's. This was my first time ever at a drag strip so I think my numbers will improve. Where is a link to that correction table? I looked on the NHRA website and couldn't find it then i googles it and couldn't find it.

I have the stock 17 inch aluminum rims on the 06's with the stock tires. The guy in the daytona said he ran his truck with his wifes old steel 17's and his time was worse. I think next time i'm going to try it with with the top off my volant cai. This time was also full street trim. I had my spare and my tailgate and all the junk behind my seats. I think my time would have been better if i was an experienced driver.

hmm...when amandas truck ran in the 14s, it was hot and humid, but she doesnt have a spare, and i pulled the tailgate off...however, she does have a bed cover...if you dont have a bed cover, i wouldnt recommend pulling the tail gate off. her best ET didnt carry her best 60' time, so i know that hers has more in it...

how was your 60 foot time?

haha! 2.3 seconds...the stratus also pulls 2.3 60 foot times, with about 150 less hp...i would definately say that traction was an issue.

honestly, to get the most out of it, i would recommend a suregrip rear diff, and maybe some good tires...

amandas truck pulled 60 foot times into the 2.07 range with the "posi" and an old set of hoosiers...your truck probably weighs a bit more than hers (4351 track weight, 1/4 tank of gas) but you are starting with over 100 more horsepower...so if you get it to bite hard, i think that youll easily get into the 14s...however, i do find it odd that your trap speed isnt better, butt he elevation would have something to do with that...how was the air temp when you ran?
