RAM vs. Titan, finally.
Thanks. Reason I ask is that I notice mines has a nice deep sound to it, but I know it could
be better. I am looking to increase hp by doing the simple things first. (kis) and move up
from there. I spoke to a dlr mechanic and he told me that even tho the hemi's has all that
hp (345), DC has the cpu setup so that during excelaration, it only give about 70% full throttle
and gradually increase the remaining 30%. If this is true, boy I can't wait for the chip to be
distro'd for us hemi owners. I am looking at changing my muffler with either flows or dynamax,
my question is this, should I include the cat (go with free flowing, that is) if so, would both mods
increase the new hemis or hurt, I am reading about alot of other owners experiencing hp drops
some if not all areas after the mods has been done.

changing to a high flow cat can never hurt performance, unless its so free it triggers a computer response..than it may hurt the hp a bit. sort of like having no filter and the SES light comes on and it tries to richen itself until it fowls plugs.
i also do not know who makes the stock muffler, but there is a dynomax direct kit available for it at the dealership.

[sm=thanx.gif] We try.
The '04's seem to be an enigma, they seem to take any mods badly. The '03's can easily be modded and they take well to exhaust mods, the Edelbrock headers released lots of held back horsepower. The rest of the exhaust also responds well to mods on the '03's. The '03's traction control/torque management is also easily disabled, but the '04's wiring was changed and this trick will not work on it. I have yet to see or hear of an upgraded PCM for any of the Hemi's regardless of year. CAI's are also known to be benefitial on the '03's and not the '04's.

Superchips is supposed to have a programmer by the end of this year they claim. I have seen that they are good for 20 HP on the 03 hemi. This will be the big difference for the 04 taking mods.
Hey Guys,
Thanks a bunch. I appreciate all the info. It really appears that DC worked extra hard to make
it diff for us hemi 04 owners to resue the extra hp that are just begging to get out. The upgraded PCM seem to be the only option left. Guess I'll wait till later in the year for some one
to product it then make the changes. Keep the knowledge flowing.

its obvious he is a young punk, if he had a wallet that he had to pay for his own car from he would realize that both the WRX and the EVO cost upwards of $35,000 new and the SRT-4 is only $21,000, take an extra 10 grand and put it into performance upgrades and you'll smoke the rice-burners all day long and still have an extra few thousand $$$ to spare.
whoa, how did this post to this thread, I was on a totally different thread and after I entered the reply and hit post it put it in this thread and left me here, totally wierd!! Sorry about that
Fast imports are cool by me, but rice is all show and not much go.
The imports I like best are the sleepers, no stickers, stock appearing and fast as hell. I saw a Supra the other day that drove to the track, threw on a set of slicks and ran 9.66!!!!
No stickers, no ground effects or flashing lights, all business.
You rice boys should take a lesson from that.
Just one note though, that same Supra broke the next week and is going back together now.
Still super respectable though. Just goes to show that turbocharging is awesome and when I get the extra cash, the Roadrunner will have a turbocharged 440 under the hood.
