The Car of Tommorrow Nascars attempt to help with the increasing cost in Nascar and make the cars more equal. My question is does it Help or Hurt the teams. (testing, templates, more technology, and etc.)

do you know who will all be running the car of tomorrow in the 2007 season.

the only one I know of is jimmy johnson.

I think its gonna hurt the smaller teams, cause then they have to go through testing and all that stuff again.

and if the car of tomorrow is that much better, then would the people running the COT have an advantage over all the other people that are not.

Every team will have to run the COT for I believe its 16 races for the 07 season, 24 races for the 08 season, and then its first, full season will be the 2009 season. (The amount of races for each year I dont believe is accurate, however, it is mandatory for all teams to run the car a minimum of races each year in 2007 & 2008).

I think it will help competion but, hurts the small teams NOW and Benefits the small teams later with a chance at winning. It will always HELP the big teams though!

NASCAR doesnt give a flying fig about the smaller teams,
The COT is just a way to help Toyota get into the sport, take a good look at it, it's just a Ricer![:@]
I hope Dodge gets out of this screwed up sport again before those 'Toaders start embarrasing Detroit in it's own sport.

Let Dodge have a Hemi!!

Actually, this car was coming BEFORE Toyota even was considered in the Nextel Cup. They've been looking at this car for quite a while. Toyota already has a car built to meet the current requirements of NASCAR.

Also, I hate to tell you this......but the only car worth a spit in NASCAR is Chevy.....and has been for years.....so if anything, you should be happy that the COT will eliminate ANY advantage a single car had.....no more whining about this car's rear wing or that car's front end blah blah blah....

The cars are all put on a level playing field as far as the chassis is concerned....the only thing to my knowledge that will even be Ford, Dodge, Chevy, or Toyota will be the motor and trans.....

I for one, am glad to see this happen.....

when dodge went from the intrepid to the charger I think they struggled alot due to their flat nose front ends. and atleast every one will be at a level playing feild once they all switch to the cot. cause chevy has the best front end and toyota looks like theres is gonna be good too.

and if they let dodge bring the HEMI back then tey'll take over again

I think if the cot will make them go faster then bring it on!

Dodge needs to do what alot of teams are doing. collaberating to make an engine program. I wish Evernham Would get with Penske to create engines.Dodge would dominate Daytona and Talladega!

He is a Genius in my opinion...yet, he has made a few mistakes...the #19 should not have been changed....they should have kept the bodies and the Mayfield! I think in the next two years we will see a championship there! Kahne, Sadler, and Riggs are all great Drivers they just need the time to show it!
