what year is his hemi? I know in my 06 I have O/D on,Tow haul, O/D off. I think the previous years only had Tow Haul and O/D on.

we both have 4.7s. his is an 03, mine is an 04. mine says tow/haul on the end of the gear selector where the button is his says O/D off at the end of the gear selector where the button is (not the other way around like i said at first) i cant find a button anywhere that says O/D off on my truck and since his O/D off button is in the same spot as my tow/haul button, i thought they were the same. whats the difference between tow/haul and OD off? like i said before i always thought they were the same.
On the end of the column shift I can push the button once and it puts me into Tow/Haul and then if I push it a second time it puts me in O/D off. I think the 06 and 07's had this while the previous model years are different.I took a picture with my camera phone just to explain it better. Sorry for the bad quality, every time I backed up the picture was clear but the font was too small but when I got closer it spazzed out. I hope this helps.

ok that helps. i have never seen one like that before. mine and my dads both have just one selection. so what is the difference between tow/haul and O/D off? i thought they both held out first gear longer, and were both supposed to have a lower ratio.
really? the service guy at the dealer told me that if i had an auto it was a 545rfe and if i had a manual it was a 45rfe. i dont know though, because he was in a really big hurry to get off the phone it seemed so he might have just said something in a rush to get off.
lol ive never run it on the track just lined up a few times on the higway, i beat a 4 door ford with the 5.4, but lost every other time. ive never took it to the track as i think it would be a waste of money just to run high 16s all day. i know it doesnt matter what you run, its all in having fun, but i dont think crossing the finish lineat a blazin 70 mph would be much fun for me. i do love racing, and am always willing to learn more about it, and i think that i know enough to make some decent passes at the track once i get a worthy vehicle to make a pass with. my automotive instructor said he might let me make a few passes in the nova after i graduate, but thats a year off, so ill just have to be content with watching and working in the pits this coming season when we start running the nova every weekend for points, which i am really looking forward to. i think it will be a great learning experience and will be alot of fun to be around all those fast cars every weekend.
